    Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Eugenia and I am a bellydance instructor. I am writting you to offer my classes in your gym, as I see, you have ballet. Bellydance/Oriental dance is a gret way to kip you fit and have fun at the same time. My classes are half an hour training (movements that work out the abs, hips) and half choreography. They are fun and women love them. I am starting some classes at the Cadbury Club and several places. If you are interest in them, please contact me and I send you my CV and curse structure. I am also available for Master Classes to give people a taste of it and see if the club/spa is happy to continue with them. The type of dance I give is bellydance/oriental with a fusion of jazz and ballet. .

    Thanks for your time.

    Kind Regards,

    Eugenia Taberna

    Hello

My name is Shahira, and I’ll be coming to the university of Bristol as an undegraduate this September, and I will be frequenting your centre through the club there. I have a very keen interest in gymnastics but never got the opportunity to engage in this sport, hence I have zero experience in it, not even the basic skills.

Nevertheless, I do want to learn this sport, and it would be nice if I could get some qualification for it at the end of my three years of law school in Bristol, after which I will have to return to my homeland Malaysia.

My question is, is it possible to get something in just three years? Is is too short a time? I would love to get at least a Bronze Award under the British Gymnastics Association Award Scheme(which I read about in your site); because I will be unble to continue this sport after my three years in Bristol (I’ll have to work immediately with my sponsor for the next 10 years in Malaysia), and I dont want to leave something undone after starting it.

Being a full time law student at Bristol would also mean attending the adult classes at your centre only twice a week on Monday and Wednesday from 7.30-9.00pm. I’m willing to give my full commitment during these classes, but fear being unable to take any sessions beyond these (I’ll have to work myself out thoroughly first, but i’m unsure whether its possible). Also, Im already 20, is that too late to begin and is three years enough to secure me at least a bronze award?

Please advise, I hope to get a clear answer from you. Many thanks :)

      Hey Shahira,

I run the gymnastics club at Bath uni and will be training at Bristol City Club with you guys this year. As far as I know the actual centre doesn’t run award schemes for adults as the classes are very relaxed and people just learn whatever they feel like. Having said that, there’s nothing stopping you from learning all the required skills and getting the awards, the gym will probably be able to help you if you asked them. You’ll have to give them a ring though to check or just ask when you get to uni.

Don’t worry about being a beginner, you’re definitely not too old (some people start in their 40s and upwards) and three years is plenty of time to get some awesome gymnastics skills under your belt! There will be plenty of people there with no experience of gymnastics and everyone helps each other out.
      See you in October!

      Helena x

Hello there – my boy is in to parcour (free running) at the moment. Does the gym offer any courses or free sessions that are appropriate to this?
